Do you think the ZKK hints made some Zoro haters more toxic?

We all know how toxic some Zoro haters can get but before the ZKK hints, do you think they were just as as as they are still now or do you think the theory of ZKK made them more toxic?

I didn't start reading One Piece until WCI (sanji fans said i should catch up for the sanji vs katakuri hype), so before I caught up to One Piece I have no idea how bad the toxicity of some Zoro haters were back then.

As far as I can tell most Zoro haters are always weird all the time. But then we finally arrive at Wano and we get this ZKK hints and I notice how lots of Zoro haters got a lot more toxic.

So the question again is, did the ZKK hints made some Zoro haters more toxic or were they always as sad they are still now.

Another thread of the zoro fanbase desperately projecting their penis envy/closeted homosexuality. Just like their idol.

Never forget. White and Gold are the colours of wealth and royalty; Green and Brown are the colours of sewage and waste. Know your place.

Without a doubt. Not even an opinion, imo, but 100% factual.

That spoiler is a perfect example of what I said a couple of days ago in the Zoro vs Mihawk splitting the sky thread, they are always talking about dicks, swords look like dicks, dick this dick that, they take homosexuality to a whole new level. :ohreally:

Definitely. I have not been a part of these discussions forums or places in general where OP is discussed like Reddit and Discord etc. I just got to these places while searching for spoilers (lol, I am an addict). But the general perception that I got was that there is that power scale debate going on between Zoro and Sanji fans and Zoro and Luffy fans. Everybody just accepts that Sanji is not comparable to Luffy directly. There were also debates about where would Jinbe rank in regards to the power hierarchy. I realized something that with all the negativity and toxicity being spewed on these forums against certain started affecting my likeness of those characters but when I go back and watch the anime I really like these characters and really don't care or don't want to compare them against each other. I want these characters to reach their dreams and to do impressive stuff in the story. Like I just love the part when Sanji enters the cage room and hits the bananwami with Anti-Manner Kick Course. Similar to that I love a lot of other cool and badass and dumb crew scenes. Based on my likeness of the monster trio (mostly the toxicity is around these characters) I don't think that I would be able to put a gap of more 5% between any of them.

I just can't understand how a fictional characters achievements and failures who are solely dependent on a writer that most of the fanbase will never meet can have such a negative impact on how they interact with other fans. I mean we can clearly see that Sanji is not like Zoro and Luffy right from the start (he is asking them to give up on their ambitions sort of how Usopp asked Nami to lie to Ulti) but that does not mean that he would have given up on his dream like them if he were in the same situation. The reason he did that or that he was not chasing his own dream is due to his feeling of being indebted to Zeff. He is just much more rational and way more kinder than Zoro and Luffy.

The biggest reason for this toxicity is that with the introduction and the screen time given to Law and now Kid and the subsequent development of their fanbase, the community now has even more characters that are compared to Zoro in some way, even Yamato fans are now part of it. And the main reason is that the fanbase just loves to power scale and compare characters. There are characters who are clearly stronger than their favourite so that means that their favourite must be stronger than all comparable characters or characters in the same tier.
