Powers & Abilities Does Collon have buccaneer powers?

Buccaneers are human/giant hybrids
Collon is a human/giant hybrid

Does that make Collon a buccaneer and hence give him whatever special ability Kuma had?

My guess? Probably

Oda always gives these child characters special abilities to make them important.

Shirahoshi - Poseidon
Momo- Dragon form and Zunisha
Tama- controlling gifters
Bonney - Nika form

Collon is the next of these type of character. Not only will he have buccaneer powers, they will likely be even stronger than what Kuma had.

Collon is 1/2 Giant and 1/2 human. Kuma merely has some giant blood. His father was a buccaneer and his mom was human, meaning he’s less than 1/4th giant.

My guess is that the buccaneers’ power is reality bending. Elbaf is a fantasy land, where ships fly and you can ride rainbows. A reality bending power would fit the theme of the arc.

Kuma only being 1/4th giant or less, had a weakened version of this power. He could only bend the limits of his body to save Bonney.

I think Collon will probably be capable of reality bending on a much greater scale. Possibly mimicking the powers of Nika.

Nah Buccaneers just have giants' blood in them, doesn't mean they are hybrids.
I think we have to keep in mind that there are literal clones already existing and that Seraphims are also a thing, while the ancient kingdom was much, much more advanced.

"Giants' blood" could also just be a minor part of what makes them Buccaneers, similar to Seraphims, they might be genetically modified beings and greater height is just a modification based on the Giants' lineage factor.

With minks, fishmen, Lunarians and overly gigantic creatrues such as Oars and Zunesha in mind and knowing that the ancient kingdom was highly advanced, there's probably a lot that we just don't know of yet.

The laugh tale people prolly created a lot of humanoid subspecies in the past, besides DFs and ancient weapons.

Either:
1. the giants are the ancestors of the buccaneers (giving the size differences);
or
2. both giants and buccaneers descend from the same common race, the former getting their stature, while the buccaneer inherited their special ability.
I feel like Buccaneers may be the ancestor for a lot of the races in the verse including giants.

what if the giants just got bigger over time? gigantification is a thing in biology

Sure, you're not the first to propose it. But in that case, if giants are just overgrown buccaneers, why hasn't the WG hunted them down for their buccaneer ability too?
They might've lost it over time just as we lose stuff we don't really use over the course of millions of years
