Neither Kid and Law have direct fleets or allies. This is why they will not be PK competitors. Unlike any other Yonko (past and present), they do not have allies to help them deal with other Yonko's overwhelming presences.

Luffy would have died at WCI if he could not escape. Wano would have been lost if they didnt have a 5000 member army and a huge alliance.

Kid cannot defeat Shanks, 8 other commanders, Giant allies and whatever other captains comprise Shanks' fleet. Neither could Law. This is why the SHF exists, to deal with stuff like this logically.

Yeah it looks like they are both about to lose to BB and Shanks. Paralleling BB and Shanks even further. Who is going to try to take Luffys poneglyphs?

Like I said on spoilers Kidd doesn't have an option.

He wasn't after Shanks but they ended up meeting each other and now Shanks wants his Poneglyph. Kidd can't give it to Shanks and can't run from a fight either.

As others have said I believe some giants will come to his side, which will cause a conflict between those with shanks and those with kidd. There's no way all of them will be against kidd, since he took down big mom, their sworn enemy.

It is oda's way of preserving kid's hype. He'll lose after a great fight(set piece of the battle would be sky splitting between shanks and kid). People can just say cards were completely stacked against kid fighting an entire yonko fleet along with freeking giant allies in a completely unknown territory and he still gave shanks the fight of his life
