Powers & Abilities Does Marco and King not having conquerors or awakening make it more or less hype?

Yeah because that he got destroyed with G2/G3 by Cracker and only could match back with G4 who ragdolled Doffy and push hiim to used awakening? Luffy was not YC3lvl, he reach ánd surpass it after beating Cracker.

If Luffy could go from being weaker to Cracker to matching Kaido 1 v. 1 in one arc, there is no point for 3D2Y timeskip.

Oda clearly showed that Luffy/Doffy >> Jozu since Dressrosa. Luffy was 1 powerup from 5th Emperor, and 2-3 powerups away from Kaido level. That's not "< YC3".

Cracker was a whole fight with Luffy using all his arsenal with G2/G3/G4 and didn´t still beat him, only after Nami and the homies help him out. What did Luffy used against Apoo again? Nothing, it wasn´t even a battle, Apoo hitting him from far away and that is it.

These are just my non confirmed explanations to try to make sense of the few things :
- King not Awakening : His lunarian abilities can be considered a powerup equal to Awakening.
- Doflamingo no adv. Haki : Doflamingo was King of Dresserosa and he didn't go around fighting strong people like Katakuri or Kaido like Luffy did and we know Luffy awakened adv. Haki in these fights.
- Crocodile no haki : his spirit got broken after fighting whitebeard and he was unable to use haki since then.
And in general‚ someone with adv. Haki can still lose to someone with normal haki or even someone with no haki at all.

Kaido can't "curbstomp" Doffy, otherwise Doffy wouldn't be one of the strongest Warlord. Look at Jinbe vs. Big Mom. Even Prime Moriah went "toe to toe" with Kaido. Doffy feared a war with Kaido not just a 1 v. 1 match. The word "war" was mentioned multiple times.
Luffy only needed Haki to match Kaido. That's it. His physical strength shits on Kaido. Luffy could match Kaido with his base.
