People here arguing semantics is so stupid, Zoro in that moment forsook or gave up his assured achievement I.e. his goal to be the WSS, to save Luffy. Abandon/gave up are all synonym of exactly the same thing. People here try to defend Zoro like their mums.
Again this isn't matter of defending Zoro like their mums like u claim. This is the matter of understanding the story. The key word is "in that moment" here, y'all act like Zoro gave up his WSS dream entirely after thriller bark when he still remember his dream to become WSS because he was promised by his best friend and his captain from Wano. Like he still want to be WSS or nah? If not, why claiming if it what it takes he willingly call himself King of Hell, because to become one you need Kingly ambitions?
Anyway, He adds the other elements on his Dream just like any SH. which is to make Luffy become King of the Pirates. So that means Luffy dreams had the same priority as their dreams.
I gave ya example of Sanji story cuz I pretty much like his hidden plot story progression,
This is just like when Sanji said he gave up his dream, but secretly still doesn't gave up, willingly to stay at baratie because he was indebted to Zeff saving him, then he even got lectured about man's dream and grit after don't krieg fight, and still after that Sanji don't wanna leave baratie, and then we got all baratie cheff to act cold to Sanji especially Zeff to give him a little push to a journey achieving his dream.
So Would u say in that moment Sanji gave up his dream because he choose to stay at baratie because he indebted to Zeff?
Again if anybody on this forum, tells that whole SH gave up their dreams, I would do the same as this.
Ps. Again want to clarify this isn't toxic debate, this is just discussion. Cuz it's going to be pointless if its one
