I am talking about linlin last chapter. this is by far the worst out of character bullshit in this manga.

but you know what’s worst ? The fans that defend this as if there is absolutely nothing wrong here and oda is top tier writer... CRINGE.

- b..but she respect those that helped her...she has “mother mode” for harmless kids...YEAH what about her calling that town that helped her SCUM oda ? How low can you get with your trash writing

- sponsoring evil experiments on kidnapped children

- kills her kids ? No problem

- allows for her kid to get abused because if she didn’t then why almost all of her kids were bullyed ?

- the kids never see the face of their father...how kind indeed

- racism and bullying for sole purpose of her enjoyment and entertainment against baby pudding ? No problem

- so much for the kind hearted mother when every last one of her kids fears her to death...chiffon doesn’t think of her as a mother...she called her a monster

- see momo tutored and humiliated and laughs her ass off with big grin

- known for her sadism, greed, selfishness, backstabbing, betrayal, sending loved ones heads in colorful boxes, enjoying blood pools, raping men and the list goes one

Retire oda.
Haha.

I think everyone should have an immediate answer after reading the question.

Kinda funny how many people here think sucking Oda’s balls is gonna get him to ~*~NOTICE THEM SENPAI~*~, most of us could drop dead today and he’d never fucking know or care about it. Y’all need to understand that it’s perfectly valid to criticize something/someone you love; if you’re afraid of doing that, you gotta figure out why your heart won’t allow you to reflect on the shortcomings of those you hold dear, and I’ll tell you this much, that has nothing to do with the current quality of One Piece...guessing it has something to do with not being able to accept your own flaws:luuh:
People are *afraid* to criticize Oda and hope to meet him through posting at Worst Gen? That's entirely the problem. If someone calls you on a double standard between what you like in the story and what you don't, you turn into Hawkins and break out the strawmen.

If you post on a public forum, expect responses if someone doesn't agree. At best no one can take away your grievances, but know that the criticisms are far from objective. I don't understand the idea of vague insults because your opinion isn't a guage of reality

obviously no, if yes, if everything made scense, luffy would have died in chapter 1009
the damage that luffy recieved in chapter 1009 is much bigger than the first time he took. but he can stand up and attack kaido as if nothing happened. the reason that oda gave us is jus... because luffy can learn something from this attack so he can recover immediately .....

Oda'd writing is good because of how he developp his universe.
Moreover conveniences happens often on Shonen.
Imagine authors tries to explain everything.
It will be a novel not a manga.
People complains about how long are flashbacks and subplots and also complains about conveniences.
This is retard.
it would be like hxh, a manga much better than one piece.

Big Mom is like a grotesque caricature of mother characteristics. The overarching theme of her character is ultimate control, wanting everything to suit her will, even if it takes violence (at least against others' free will or in the form of abuse), and even she thinks she has good intentions or they sound like it. Her cruelty is about as naive in temperament as her positive side, and by being a villain pirate, her cruelty is just there, but we always knew about more positive side.

It makes sense for her to have a side like that, and I would be fine with it if Oda introduced this side of her back then in WCI. Now it feels so fucking random in the middle of a "war", Kaido was about to kill a kid in front of her, her mocking kid Pudding, not giving a damn about Bege's child, it just doesn't add up, that side of her not showing often is an excuse Oda created because he didn't bother showing this side of her before properly, when he had plenty of opportunities, he should have wroten this BM in act 2 instead of Olin.
I don't know what you mean with introducing it back in WCI, the "positive" side of her character was part of her flashback, and each arc has different priorities, WCI was primarily about making Big Mom scary, there is no point in or necessity for her randomly showing a "mode for small children" then, and even so the flashback was a surprise to most.
And it is not at all as if Big Mom has to react like a robot to all children like this, for example Bege's child is a traitor's child (though I have no idea how she in any way paid negative attention to it or even noticed it), it is similar for Momo, whose fate she might have found unavoidable (doesn't mean she approved of it), and really her "amnesia" introduced that side of her already sufficiently, which harks back to her flashback, showing it was there all along. And maybe she just thinks Tama is especially cute, and I mentioned additional factors (food, help, unyielding friendliness) which influence her will positively.

Her relationship to Pudding again makes sense from that arc's priority of showing her scary side, but she also she can also have specific demands of her children to suit her will, and that includes them ideally looking a certain way, or looking different, even if she deliberately got a child like her just for a specific purpose. That might have created some detachment or lack of commitment from the start, and Pudding taking her time with being able to fulfill that purpose probably made Big Mom more ill-willed toward her.
When Big Mom has an opportunity to show an abusive side, Oda will often give her that moment, but it doesn't mean Big Mom is just going through the world consistently being abusive for the heck of it.

And Tama was set up sufficiently, so there is really nothing "random" about it, not more than any other character combinations coming to pass and things coming to fruition. (Big Mom doesn't really care about the "war" either, it's just a little uprising to her.)
It can also be that Kaido and Tama are like her two poles, and she can be pulled towards another side gradually, if certain things are going on.

And her name and concept almost require for something like this mode to be part of her. The contrasts make her more interesting, even if one doesn't find them smoothly executed.
