If you want to make people angry or troll them you first need to understand their motivations.

Let me give you an example.
You got flustered (probably in another thread) and needed an outlet for your frustration. Hopeful to get a little bit of support by getting people to agree with you. So you do not feel alone in your struggles.
If people understand your motivations then you become an easy target.
It is not that what you call "edgelords" are a real problem on this site. It is that these people are able to get to you that is.
That bored cunts on the internet are able to tamper with your emotions that easily. While you can not return the favor.

The premise of this thread is that you are being offended by other people and tried to find a way to get back at them by calling them "edgelords" or whatever. Creating a thread to get a rise out of people and then when it backfires on yourself you want to pretend like that was the plan all along.

Dumb buzzword that means nothing. If you call someone a bigot it just means you are not capable of refuting their arguments.

Another meaningless buzzword. In reality it applies more to the people who use it than to the people they use it against. And even if it applies more to them its still stupid.
