Thats what its used with an open palm not a sword.

And we've never had a scene yet showcasing it being used any other way except for with open palms. Rayleigh, Boa, Luffy, Hyou, Sentomaru.... All used it as open palmed attacks. Thinking the scabbards used that specific type of Haki to pierce Kaido with their swords, is just an assumption. From the information that we know for right now, it doesn't seem practical for Haki that explodes out of someone's palm, to be used to strengthen one's sword attack.

hyou has shown us theres only 2 types of ryou one of which he cant do
we clearly see the swords pierce the skin as opposed to flow the haki past the scales so yes they did do it we dont need an example when its that obvious.

Ryou just means Haki. Kaido said they used the same Ryou as Oden.

What's that matter that Luffy said nothing about it? We already know that physical blunt force attacks don't work on Kaido, so why would Luffy think back to a higher level of Koka? That's why Luffy thought back to a means of damaging Kaido from the inside, because external blunt force attacks won't work.

Yeah, that's Luffy's assumption that it will work. He won't know for sure until he actually tries it, and if it fails, I don't think it's a coincidence that he also acquired the ability to destroy from within as a result of trying to learn the initial barrier form.

His level of CoA is certainly astounding now

Well this fucking ryuo thing is weird.

I was on the both side of the fence once i thought its only haki once i thought its advanced haki

Now i got the conclusion that ryuo is not what we call haki because wano people push the area of flowing/advanced haki not to say that it is 100% advanced haki but you get what I mean right?
