Chapter Discussion Doesn't the ending of Marineford make the marines seem weak?

Chapter 999.

It literally contradicts Whitebeards creed to never have killed Kaido.
No it literally doesnt. WB didnt want Ace to hunt BB either. And Kaido is several folds stronger than Yami Teach.

Theres no point going after someone who killed your loved one ( who youve lost connection with) years ago. Like it said WB wouldve lost a lot of his sons battling Kaido. Its not worth all that trouble over a dead man.

Oda has bad powerscaling... he made dofla equal admiral lvl and later made it look like YCs are above dofla... we now know that dofla is above YCs and admirals are on yonko lvl
If you actually knew how to power scale, you would not have posted this comment lmfao. We’ve been saying for years that Admirals were clearly far above YC tier, hoe anyone could ever get the impression that Admirals and commanders were even remotely comparable in power is a testament to how hilariously bad the OP fandom is at powerscaling.

1. They had years to prepare for Kaido. Ace set off immediately. Whitebeard would have gotten to Teach eventually.

2. The Whitebeard pirates would have attacked Marineford regardless if they executed Ace or not. Garp straight up tells us this in 524.

3. Buggy straight up tells us the thing Whitebeard hates the most is when one of his comrades or sons get hurt. Its precisely why Marco goes to Wano.

Because he wanted to avenge Oden even after 20 years.

I was allways saying that dofla is above YC and admirals are comparable to yonko

1.) What will preparing do for them ? WB is bound to still lose a lot of men. Its literally stated so. And no you have no proof WB wouldve gone after Teach. Sure if he saw him on the seas he would. But he wouldnt go out of his way to go after him.

2.) Yes because the death would still be fresh...and would also send a message to not mess with the WBPs. And also Ace is far more valuable to WB than Oden is as well. Ace is the man who he wanted to replace him.

3.) And the one thing Sanji hates most is people wasting food. Does that mean he would travel the entire grandline to go to a restaurant that wastes food.....assuming he knew about it.

Hating something /=/ doing something about it. Especially one it isnt smart to do.

Oh s serious note @Iam25 who put the thought in your head that random people around the OP world know anything at all about the power balance lol? We’ve literally only ever heard talk of how the great powers compare to each other by the Gorosei and Garp, and yet you’re acting like Garp’s statement is common knowledge for Tina the bartender on Bumfuck Island lol. Like Sam the farmer walks into the bar for a drink and then he and Tina start comparing the strength of world powers like experts or some shit lmfao.

I think this once again just reinforces the point that random citizens around the OP world know literally nothing about how the great powers work, and perhaps you shouldn’t act like rumor, hearsay, and ramblings from random country bumpkins are reliable ways to power scale? Lol

And yet it was something the WBP debated over multiple times.

The reality is Kaido is every bit comparable to Whitebeard.

Whitebeard is probably 5 percent stronger than Kaido.

Both in primes.

Interesting how the world considered the marines being able to beat 1 emperor crew such a massive victory lol.

Almost as if....
Yes, but in my opinion there are 2 crucial factors that should be considered:

1) WB was an incredible legend at the top of all the pirates. That was especially true for normal citizens that didn't know how bad was his condition at that time (and actually no one aside from his nakamas knew; maybe only Shanks).
The incredible consideration shown to WB (higher than even the other Emperors) came also from Garp, who did not know the severity of his disease:

2) The average person believed that WB could destroy the world with his powers, and actually not only the average person. That concept was repeated various times:

A type of fear that no one aside from him could cause, at that time.

So, at least in my opinion, that kind of reaction we saw in 581 was justified.

Lol your opinion.

WB is like 10% stronger in old age
And like 30% stronger in prime

And his crew vastly superior as well.

Yes because if Whitebeard were in his prime and didn't have to hold back because of Ace. They would have won lol.

The manga made this pretty clear lol
