Croco didn't get meaningfully stronger in prison, he probably got stronger over the timeskip. If any top tier took him seriously in Marineford, he would be dead. There's a reason WB basically just stood there when Croco tried to "kill him"

Depends on what oda wants to do with him. If he wants him to become a relevant villain again then he'll probably give him adcoc. Adcoc even if he doesn't gain anything else would at least make him a threat even if he can't be a serious villain eos. But if he's just going to stay locked up or only escape at the very end or in the epilogue of op then I doubt he gets any stronger than dressrosa. Mingo served his purpose to the story and he doesn't have much to give story wise. His empire is destroyed and his main backer in kaido is gone as well. Only thing he would have is a revenge plot against luffy and law either of which he's no match for. Only interesting thing is maybe cross guild trying to free him and recruit him as they really are only yonko in name only not really a yonko level crew.

I said top tier lol. Also, Doffy wasn't taking him seriously and basically saved him from Jozu. This isn't to shit on Croco btw, who I am a huge fan of, but when you think about it, in MF his portrayal is like a tier below Jimbei and Marco

Similarly, if Doffy got out of jail, he wouldn't be significantly stronger. He might have some feats of like, tanking a Gorosei or something, and maybe stalling a top tier, but he won't do anything significant/win any fights against anyone impressive.

Way too many top-tiers and more are shown as the arcs go by for that but top 20-25 current would be amazing for him.

I expect him and Crocodile will be immensely powerful and influential, and Doffy helps make Cross Guild seem more legitimate strength-wise if they have 3 really capable fighters (with one a clear top-tier).

I look forward to Doffy's return.

The only way I could see it actually happening is if the WG gets seriously desperate by the end of the war. It wouldn't be a conventional recruit but if there's convincing enough context and character work it could work.
