• Chapter cover is Homura browsing a shopping mall with Christmas decorations.
• Right after her fight with Wizard, Witch gives Hermit her code for the EZ's emergency shutdown, which just leaves Valkyrie. Meanwhile, Jinn and Kleene are dealing with Acnoella's neverending dragon swarm and tell Homura to beat Acnoella quickly.
• Homura is at a disadvantage in her starfighter, so she goes into Overdrive and jumps out into space. Valkyrie panics since humans can't survive in space, but Homura says she learned from Hermit that it's possible to withstand any environment in OD.
• There's a brief flashback of Valkyrie teaching Homura how to be brave while surrounded by with fire. Homura reminds Valkyrie of this teaching.
• Brigandine asks Valkyrie if Homura is her pupil. Valkyrie answers that she used to feel that way, but Homura has grown so much before she realized it. She continues their fight, not wanting to embarrass herself in front of Homura.
• Homura and Acnoella clash. Acnoella mocks Homura for her drastic action, warning that Homura will die if her OD is undone.
• Acnoella sends her dragons after Homura to teach her the power of the "mother of dragons". Homura jumps up and slices one of the dragons in half, telling Acnoella she isn't a mother of dragons, but the mother of Elsie, a human.
• Homura and Valkyrie ready their swords while Acnoella and Brigandine just stand there in shock. At the same time, they each slash their opponents across the chest with a Dragon Flash, defeating them.
• Homura's OD is exhausted, but Valkyrie quickly gets Homura to safety inside her starfighter. Homura commends her teacher, while Valkyrie proudly declares Homura's sword has surpassed her own.
• Valkyrie gives Hermit her code. With 3 minutes 42 seconds left, Hermit begins the system override to stop the EZ's self-destruction.

Imo the battle could be longer. But it seems he wants to end the manga quickly.

Wow the latest chapter is rough, the past lives of the shining stars and dark stars ends tragically, but that least they protected baby Shiki to the fair end until Ziggy found him and witness the creation of mother.

That was good. I like the flashback of the shining stars and Shiki so far.

What an absolute shit show of an ending. Mashima really needs to stop doing multiple projects and just focus on one.


Everything before this "Universe 0" arc is legitimately great but everything afterwards has been a slow spiral into "meh".

To be fair, Mother being Earth is an interesting idea

But I agree with you, starting from U0 this manga went downhill, if not earlier.

Its definitley universe 0 where the manga started to dip. The arcs before were great and the Ziggy arc was good albeit a few minor issues. They should have stayed in that universe and wrapped up the story shortly after.

Imo the idea behind U0 is ok....but Hiro portrayed it in a really shit way.

The current arc is so boring, not only the battles but the villains too. What sucks too is the fact that we don't saw a new ether gear power since the nero empire arc. After the Oceans no new enemy had ether gear. The only ones are Ziggy and Void and the EG from them are nothing new to the readers....

No special abilities in the last 130 chapters or so....
Even the story is boring now.....

I know right, there was much setup for Freya, Lighting law, Joker and Void of all things.

They all had unique abilities and designs to boot but, one by one they all were defeated because they underestimated there opponent’s skills.
