This Elbaph arc is about Robin, than Usopp. Water 7/Enies Lobby is actually Usopp’s arc. Usopp had to prove that he can fight for himself. Just remember Usopp laying on the ground like a weakling.

He went through a whole entire journey to accept that he is not stronger than anyone on the crew whether old or new.

Usopp likes the Elbaph stories, but maybe there is something he’s looking for or trying to do on Elbaph (Usopp lies).

What usopp did is arguably worse than what the others did bc gunko sensed it coming and still let it hit her. She then looked at him like goku looked at sliced up dead near dead freeza. Lusopp dropped lower than nami
