If Usopp's story was important to Oda, the writing would reflect that.

I have no doubt it once was of major importance, but considering the fact we're 1156 chapters in without anything resembling a real conversation about where Usopp sees himself relative to his dream, his father, Shanks, Luffy and how all that - it's not even worth getting into just how poorly developed Usopp is.

Pre-skip Usopp was phenomenal.

Post-skip Usopp is a bad impression of Buggy.

Oda does not give a shit.
:josad: Wallahi im finished, i cant even muster enough cope to debunk

There's still time until the end of Elbaf and some opportunities for Oda to make my boy Usopp shine, but Im just extremely dissapointed with what we've got so far. Only good thing Usopp had in this arc was that panel with Luffy when they saw Elbaf, that was peak.

Usopp is fine the way he is. He's not one of my favourite characters but his cowardice is entertaining. Tbh this is one of the things I like about One Piece, that characters stay pretty much the same for the whole story.
Well actually he doesnt stay the same. Alabasta, water seven, ennies lobby were peak Ussop. He showed some amazing brave moments back then. Then after timeskip, despite the 2 years training, he become even more coward to the point of annoying. Dressrossa was the worst.

Something we've been waiting since little Garden

Will Usopp finally stop being a coward?

Will he have something to offer to the crew instead of just being a dead weight?

Will he finally beat useless allegations?

Will he finally ready to fight Yasopp next arc

Or Usopp will die here?

What is your expectations of him?

Surprised you didn’t @ the biggest intellectual aka me.

usopp has had a lot of specific moments since wano building up to something here, and in elbaf oda even had luffy specifically call him out as playing up weakness when he should have been able to solo the cat. he's had some interesting character parallels as well with some of his quotes about warrior's pride in elbaf yelling at dorry and brogy after domi reversi mirroring rocks yelling at harald
