The problem with the "new" 24 teams format (altough its already the third edition with 24 teams) is that,with the fact that the best third passes in almost every group,there is almost zero suspance! For example,Italy now has two difficult teams ahead of them,with Spain and Croatia,after they did beat Albania. But,altough those are difficult games for Italy,and they risk to lose them both,they're almost sure of going to the next stage anyway,because they already got 3 points,and Croatia lost 4-0 to Spain,so its almost guarantedd that they would pass as third if they lose both games,but Italy and Croatia could actually agree on making a nice 0-0 in the last game,if Croatia wins against Albania,so they both pass to the next stage. So,basically zero suspance! It was better with 16 teams and only the best two teams going to the quarter finals. :kata::kata:
