Peace sacrifices strength, security sacrifices freedom. As humans our time is limited and our day limited to 24 hours, everything we do in that time takes away from something else we could’ve done.
Whatever you want to accomplish, half of it is just being aware of what will be sacrificed in the process.
Your body sacrifices too, it does whatever it takes to maintain homeostasis, a state of balance or equilibrium, the reason your body does this is survival, it’s about being resourceful.
If you want something, it will take from something else, if you look left, you choose not to look right, for every door you open, you close the opportunity to explore the other doors.
This is all to say, do what you want and you’ll have an easy time throwing away the things that hinder you from achieving your goals.
Honestly, I really don’t like the word sacrifice, we should never be in a position where we have to give up something of value, there is great wisdom in pursuing the things that make you happy first and foremost, the ”sacrifice” in this case happens on its own.
It’s only when you go down roads that have nothing to do with you that this becomes a prominent concept.
In that case my advice is work on your escape while sacrificing what is needed untill you can live an authentic life.
