and btw. this chapter reveals a motive for shanks to go against loger (poison him, rat his son out to lengoku, ruin his joyboy plan etc). loger and his crew shat all over shanks's dream - to play house w/buggy (who actually was ambitious and had breadwinner mentality from the start so could have easily carried shanks as his chill sidekick) - and forced him into a made-up 'destined savior' role (even tho he can't be that as he's not a D) that ruined his relationship with buggy and basically made his dream impossible to achieve.
shanks sounds chill saying this to laban but i say he's bitter for a good reason and laban - who is allergic to accountability - knows this, which is why he changed the subject so fast.
