I understand what you’re meaning : if you’re the goat but your nation is lame you will never win the World Cup, ever. So yeah I can understand.
I agree it’s unfair. But the biggest football cup, the most prestigious, the one that give the most to your fan, the most emotion is the World Cup.
And I don’t deny the fact that Messi can or cannot be the actual goat, but it’s still a debate.
Because Messi is not in some random country, it’s argentina. They should have a shot winning the cup every time. And with his country Messi was not always perfect, at all. And especially in Argentina and Maradona ghost always here.
If Messi wins it the debate will be almost closed.
