Yeah, irc there is him ( The god of darkness/shadow) and Hydaelin The goddess of the light and quite litteraly the planet ff14 takes place on. Hydaelyn was scared that Zodiark would destroy all life and so they fought, in the fighting they splintered into 12 worlds and a main one where the story takes place. What the Ascians try to do is something called the rejoining, every few years they cause a calamity and try to merge one of the worlds together with the main one, each time they succeed Zodiark gets closer to being revived.

That's really interesting.

I confused him with Zodiark from FFXII

Which was basically the strongest Scion that was not catgorized as Light or Darkness

But his Element was Darkness

Also interesting that they reused the name for a different "character"
