I think Luffy will strike her, enough to know that he can damage them. I do like the idea of Kid and Luffy both taking down "weakened" Yonko (aka, having final battles with with either after they have been attacked/damaged by others, its a war).
I also like the idea of Kid and Luffy remaining rivals until the EoS or towards the end where they fight. Idk we'll see.
The end of Wano will tell us heavily about the remainder of the series. Moreso I still wonder if any other factions of Rocks will be involved eventually, or if either Yonko have roles to play post Wano.

Yeah this is my thought on it exactly. Oda wouldnt have introduced us to O-Lin if he didn't plan on using her as a plot point again. Its why I think either Luffy, or someone else (Kaido, etc) will strike her and it will put her back into the O-Lin state, only this time she won't turn back to her evil self. Then that can get addressed in Elbaf if it does.

I don't even think we are on the climax of Kaido story, Oda won't make him declare War on the entire World to only fall hours later
the the Alliance will lose and then retreat for now, Kaido and BM will be busy fighting the Marines who are heavily implied to appear, BM will just leave for whatever reason after that

Which very likely means she will end up in that personality state again. So far it serves nothing if shes meant to have Caramels personality forever. We didn't need O-Lin, we had BMs flashback to show that she was good already. Now we have O-Lin, and it needs to service the story in terms of showing that older BM can be good again
