Just like Zoros AP didn’t get nerfed in his Asura attack against Kaido because as he said he put everything he had into that attack.

By the time he finally got a shot, the main antagonist was already joined by someone equally as strong and the only time Kaido even hit Zoro was after their combined attack. That's reality.

Theres nothing delusional about it. He never said what would happen. Just that the outcome would've been bad if they carried on fighting. Could've meant the Shinokuni gas would kill them. Could also mean Sanji would be more injured than he was when he fought Vergo. It could've meant a lot of things....
