That’s what I mean is the power itself will get an explanation later in the arc when Gaban trains Luffy to use it consciously.

I seriously doubt that...
POL is a system only 2 characters have shown.
There might be more but I doubt it will spread to other Strawhats, especially to Zoro or Luffy.
All 3 have their own unique powers - Luffy the DF merchant, Zoro the hakiman and Love cyborg Sanjino.

Marco's regen counter --> can't use spam it for long, it weakens
Anyone with haki can hurt him still
He hardly recovers from powerful blunt attacks

Lunarians --> just wait for them to turn off the flames on his back

HKs/Gorosei regen --> hit them to core before they can activate regen

Gaban will reveal, how he and the rest of the Roger Pirates, were a bunch of deadbeat fucks who are fine with inaction. Of course the rationalization here is that the were waiting for a future "player" to finish what they started because they were active at the wrong time etcc.. I think they are all just plain old bastards.
