Theory Garp is the reason Roger died

#1
We all know that Roger let the marines capture and execute him as he was dying anyway.

I had a theory for a while and with chapter 1080 and galaxy punch out I want to share it with you guys. I believe that during the fights that Garp and Roger had Garp had the upper hand in Haki and Roger had an advantage as he used a weapon(sword). Now over the years they helps fighting and we know that haki can cause internal damage an make things break from the inside. The damage that Garp dealt over the years accumulated and caused an incurable disease in Roger. This was because Garps haki was superior to Rogers, not by much, not enough to make him so much stronger and outright defeat him. But enough to cause the damage that in the end would kill him.

What do you guys think? Does this make sense or nah?

Garp aint that guy.
He could never face a swordsman.
One hit and it's lights out.
Clashing is all nice and good but when the hits land, you gotta pack yer bags.

Yeah, don't think Roger got into enough extreme fights to the point of getting ill.Luffy might because he has being having crazy fights since he is 17 and now he is 19.Luffy is taking way too much damage for his age.

Roger has been pirating for 30 years. If we assume that he got in fights regularly like Luffy did then he had a lot of fights. Even if he fought only once every year with garp that would mean 30 fights.

yeah, but i doubt he had 30 extreme diff fights.Garp and Roger must have fought a handfull of times at best.

But what you are saying is very possible.Law got sick because of lead(internal damage caused by a toxic metal),Haki could potentially do the same.

The reason why I came up with this theory is
1. Roger had an incurable unexplained disease
2. The disease did not weaken him(according to crocus)
3. The disease was strong enough to kill him

So I thought what if the ability to cause internal damage came to a point where there was no turning back anymore and he will slowly die?
But what could cause that. He fought WB once and we know the one he fought continuously is Garp. So Garps haki could have caused it. I’m not saying it is the case, just saying it is possible.

yeah,it could be.But its probably a legit disease.Internal Damage should be similar to cancer,it should make your organs stop working properly. It should definetily weaken you.Roger probably had a disease that would eventually kill instantly, maybe some big cist in a major organ that would eventually rupture or something like that.

I dont think Garp is stronger than Roger, one of the main reasons is that Kaidou the WSC pick Roger as the peak, and also Roger over Garp in his memory of 5 most powerful people, even when he has seen Garp's strength before in God Valley, involves frequently with the Marines etc.

Kaido only picked people who he had met or faced roger, xebec he knew and had met them, shanks and oden he had faced before. He mentioned that Roger brought the world to his heel using only haki. I never said Garp was stronger, cuz they are portrait as equal. Fighting each other many times to death but neither actually winning. I’m just saying that his Haki was a little stronger and caused the damage over years to turn lethal.
