Yeah. That's what really upset me. Focusing the resources on the arguably worst and most uninteresting arc in most readers eyes and completly messing up the one people were looking forward to.

Lol. Speaking of
@JazzMazz
Seething right now.
Well, I'm just hoping they manage to nail the early parts of the war at least. At least hoping for a decent first cour. The second cour can be a bit more unfocused(I reckon it probably will be).

Since you guys are talking about the anime a lot.
Do you know what the hack did to make toei be more than 1 month without One piece?
Did he like...deleted some work done? Some Episodes?
I ask that cause i fear he did It and rooftop wont get amazing as It suposed to be cause of that and they didint had the time to make the scenes how they were before ....
I know next episode will be amazing, the cast for it is amazing and the preview looks amazing. BUT.....
Im afraid for the next ones, for the hack problem and for the cast that are not that good for episodes like that....theres no excuse to make ALL the rooftop segment movie quality. Especially 1016 on, where the fight really starts.
With the preview for 1016 we Will have a clear Idea.
It was a ransom ware hack. From my understanding they had to shut down the company servers, which prevented staff from accessing resources for the episodes easily. They did have back ups and other avenues, but from my understanding, it just generally slowed the production pipeline down since they had to access their work through other channels.
From my understanding they didn't lose footage, it just slowed down their ability to make the finished product.
This may cause production pipeline problems down the line, but hopefully the month break mitigated the worst of it.
1016 will probably be a more regular episode. I mean, it'll be a Koyama episode(Koyama is a really good director), so it'll probably be good. I don't think they'd skimp out on action animators for an important action episode, but it'll be a step down from Ishitani.
Even though he has the same animation director pairing as episode 984, which was his weakest episode in recent memory, I think his episode here is going to be better because it is just a far more high priority episode.
