Nice to get Ousen’s point of view finally. For a such genius, he has been mad passive this arc. Almost all actions so far has come from RBK, SBS and Ousen’s commanders without any input from Ousen. He’s kind of admitting that he has been outplayed by Riboku so far (Great!). Now I think we are going to see Hango’s trap which makes Ousen’s situation even more precarious.

I agree with Ousen being a statue for most of the arc
but it’s also cool to see Ousen army on the ropes and trying things. They have been fleshed out this arc. Nice to see they can do things without being taken by the hand by Ousen

Shibashou could have killed Denrimi and didn't because... reasons. Now Kansaro could have killed Shiryou but he doesn't either because... reasons. Holy sh*t Qin's plot armor is thicker than a tank

Think Shiryuu is/will be dead. Not a great way to die (heavy injuries -> more pain over instant death).
What do you guys think is the deadly trap mentioned by Heki. There is something else in store for Ousen for sure I think. No way Riboku’s strategy is leading to a 50/50 outcome. Huge army reserves waiting inside Hango?
Ousen didn’t think the battle would progress so quickly from the beginning. For one, he didn’t calculate that the Hi Shin Unit and the Gyoku Hou would get sealed off so quickly. And second, Shibashou’s strength goes beyond Ousen’s expectations. On of the chance that Ousen loses this battle, it would be due to these two factors, and Ousen would have to acknowledge that Riboku outmaneuvered him.
I wonder how big of a hit will Ousen's potrayal take at the end of this arc. I was thinking he still had some sort of backup plan or hidden army, but based on this it's not the case.
I don't hold Ou Sen's lacklustre performance against him. In my view, it is simply another product of the bad writing in this arc.
It's not bad writing because I am invested in seeing Ou Sen succeed or prove himself to have a deep bag of offensive and defensive tactics and stratagems.
It's bad writing because Ou Sen has 50K to play with and there is absolutely nothing to justify the inconsistency compared to Shukai and the rest of the series.
Over about 800 chapters we've become accustomed to seeing strategy monsters pull out all sorts of flashy formations in response to situations.
It's also undercutting Shi Ba Shou's hype. I wanted to see him trample through whatever Ou Sen threw at him like Mou Bu at Bayou and Ren Pa at Sanyou.
This arc has rapidly gone from disappointing to mid to poor to outright bad, and now it's not too far removed from being trash.
