i don't see how he would use kantan as trap when a) he knows hot volatile the king is b) it actually puts kantan's citizens in danger when protecting citizens has been his whole thing, in all the wars he always had the people evacuated beforehand

he probably has a contingency plan but i really doubt he wanted shin out of all people to siege kantan as his plan A

See, I told you it was part of RBK's plan. This would have been too easy otherwise.

And he has a back up plan for every situation.
