I feel like the term “Zionism” is a euphemism.

The idea that Palestine is the ancestral home of the Jews and that the Jews should merely return their isn’t inherently a bad idea.

Even the Palestinians didn’t care for those Jews that merely wanted to live in Palestine and coexist with the Arabs.

But I don’t believe that the ideology of Zionism is really about coexisting. No Zionism is just a euphemism for Jewish nationalism and Jewish supremacy, which I believe are both integral parts of the state of Israel.

It is true that the American government supports Zionism, but that’s not simply due to Jews. America and the rest of the West have a legitimate interest in the state of Israel, as Israel is effectively an American/European colony.

jewishness is a loosely defined term and even different denominations of Judaism have different definitions for who is or isn’t a Jew. Some of those people might be practicing Jews, others might just have some Jewish ancestry, and even others have no connection to the Jewish people but are erroneously marked as Jewish by antisemites.

Lastly, it is true that Jews in America are disproportionately wealthier and more influential relative to their population. But they are still a very small minority. Even within said minority, there is a lot of differing opinions.
