I've been slacking off on USA's news lately because of the legislatives, but DAMN, this is scary.
Cultures are not set in stone. They are social systems that evolve, travel and can be shared
Your home is not the country and your culture is not the land, its what is left in you.
The point is, one land can welcome a lot of people from different culture. So the assertion "would you open your home ?" is a nonsense. There is no need to open our homes to migrants, we can simply create places to welcome them in our lands.

A culture that never evolve can't survive too long. There is absolutely no reasons to be afraid for your culture. On contrary, you should be seeking to meet others cultures.

Argentina is in complete recession, the economy crumbles, people don't have enough money to live, there are riots in the streets, women and lgbtqi+ are afraid for their lives and rights but ok...

Criminals are criminals. Let the law do with them what it will. What I don't agree with is using this tragedy as an excuse to discriminate against other migrants who, by all metrics, are less likely to commit violent crimes than US born citizens.
I don't agree with the death penalty on principle (since 2% of the time we execute the wrong people) but I won't be angry if it's applied here.

Those incidents are always instrumentalized for political agendas. Just like the recent bullying /assault cases in Germany. The perpetrators being foreigners and the victim German is used to push the great replacement bs on social media quilt people gloss over the fact that in schools where foreigners are in the minority, the roles may be reversed.

There is only what case when death is justified, is when the person is about to commit an atrocious act and the only way to stop them is to kill them. Then its still murder and still horrible, but justified.
Death is never a solution. We don't know what good people are capable of. Someone you save from death penalty might save a bunch of people down the line, we never know.
The problem with death penalty is that it consider crimes as part of the nature of the person instead of taking them as harmfull acts.
