Number of deaths+number of people with lasting effects from the disease that we still have little knowledge of how long these will last+high demand of hospitalization that countries were not able to provide+deaths from other diseases or injuries that required hospitalization, but couldn't happen due to people with COVID taking most spaces available+ a collapse of the funerary system who couldn't keep up with the number of bodies, leading to extremely fucked up scenes of common graves, etc.

A few people with collateral effects from the vaccines.
It's not hard to understand what should be the priority. Or, at least, it shouldn't.
