the old testament and new testament originated in the oral tradition first and then were compiled into the bible.Most religions,folklore,teachings and so on start that way.Modern paper and pen were not a thing back in the day,few people could write and afford to buy materials.

To apply the marxist theory,some political organization will need to get more powerfull and influential than:
1-Small,Medium and Large business.
2-Government.
3-Military.
4-Religious institutions.
To perform a communist revolution there needs to be a deep cultural dissemination,the communists need to be in key positions of power and the people need to be claiming for it.Marxism preaches for a centralizing government that distributes all wealth.Centralization of economical,political,military and cultural power in the hands of a few is a recipe for dictatorship.History proves this.China and Russia have "capitalist economies" and yet they are still dictatorships.
