Targeting my religion to attempt to offend me is a cowards act and not befitting of proper credibility and character.

The wife beating one isn't a meme but its nit picked and the context was exaggerated by that disgrace Peroroncino to misrepresent it.
.. Its a real meathod a husband can use which is what scholars describe the bare minimum and should be the bare minimum as mentioned in Surah Nisa
And its interpretation done by the person who Prophet Muhammad prayed to allah to increase this person's knowledge in quran and its meaning called Ibn Abbas said the following aboit the verse
Ata said: I said to Ibn `Abbas, what is the kind of hitting that is not harsh? He said, Hitting with a siwak and the like. [A siwak is a small stick or twig used for cleaning the teeth - Translator] who was a Shabi
Such as great scholars like Sheikh Nawawi and Hasan and Basri and many others
You cannot torture you are supposed to be the kindest to your wives
