I'm saying that as long as the west does not face the crimes of colonialism (and France in particular committed serious crimes against some Muslim countries) these things will keep happening. Are you aware that "peace" still meant lesser treatment for non-Muslims? I'm at work right now so I cannot cite, but I recommend looking into how Islam disadvantages other religions within an Islamic driven state.

Absolutely correct, Miss Maynard. However, just because it is a long-held tradition does not mean it is good. I am stating that I neither agree that Islamic nations are the 'noble revolutionaries' or that the West is righteous in it's acts. Neither side is good, but we (humanity) loves to see the world as black and white because it simplifies issues. You know one of the major topics in English class during high school / college was colonialism, an important point of discussion being the fact that we, German students, learn more about British colonialism than British kids n history class and how that's a problem.
AT THE SAME TIME we barely learned anything about German colonialism in Africa during history class. It's ridiculous!
All these years, Africa has been a grey spot on the map for me, I've been shitting on thr British empire and France and Belgium and Spain and Portugal and everything that happened in the Americas and Australia for YEARS before finding out that what Germany did in Africa was just as bad, because school doesn't teach you. You have to find it out by yourself. And people who aren't interested won't go out of their way too look this stuff up.
