Talked to a friend today. He’s a cool guy, but I feel like he’s a bit off. Like he made this comment about how “Jews and Muslims can’t ever really be friends”.
I feel like these kinda beliefs are the kinda stuff that holds society back. But then again, he’s a big pro-israel type guy, so I get why he would think that. Still it’s sad,

Honestly. I’m not anti Zionist, but I hate the relationship Israel has with American Jewry.
I hate how being part of this religion/ethnicity inherently ties you to this foreign state, even if you have literally nothing else in common with those people.
I hate Israel’s propaganda efforts and how brainwashed some people in the community get over it.
Then inevitably whenever Israel does some dumb evil shit, people end up taking their anger out on us. Thereby creating more blind support for Israel.
Probably not talking about individuals but like in general, and then i kinda get the point, considering jews are the worst of creatures according to the quran or the prophecies about the last hour not coming until the jews are fought.

In my high school friend group, there were people of all different races and religions who were friends with each other.
Surely it can’t be that hard.

I feel like all people can get along and coexist with each other and those that say otherwise, more often than not, are just projecting their prejudices onto others.

For starter, Israelian people must understand that it's not by voting for a far right party that they will get security. I'm sure that people on both sides understand that the solution of two countries is the only viable solution now. So politics from both nations needs to be heard but for that, colonization has to stop first. And palestinian people must be compensented for their loss.
Then and only then those countries will be able to have a discussion.
This can only happens if the left/center starts rising up in Israel.

Yes, that's my experience with Serbians. I never felt any hate towards them because I always thought that inherited hatred is stupid and doesn't lead us anywhere but sadly, the few Serbians I met irl didn't see it that way. I had a half Serbian classmate give me death threats over a completely stupid "incident" that actually had nothing to do with me, she projected her frustration on me simply because of my Albanian background.

It's about to what degree people adopt the ideas of the old generation. When young people aren't ready to question the hatred of their ancestors they pass it on and eventually, the origin of hate is forgotten and perpetuates itself.
