I disagree. Just have the state be run by competent representatives that work for the people's interests, not for their own financial profit. In fact, a weak state would exacerbate safety issues as radical groups would use the opportunity to take over.

I heard the Swiss despise all the German immigrants they got + life in Switzerland more expensive + no EU country + too many mountains + (this is by far the biggest issue) unintelligible language. On paper they speak German but in reality even their standard speech sounds like an extreme dialect. Their regional dialects sound like a completely different language, even Dutch (which is an actual different language) is easier to understand than Swiss German. And I'm not exaggerating.
Any country citizens should be pissed if they see the person representing them on world stage deliberately sitting on a bench during National Anthem....
