I honestly think it’s debatable if “Hinduism” is even a real religion.

Like yeah, there are people who identify as Hindus, but there is no uniform doctrine of Hinduism as you might find in other religions.

In fact, many Hindus don’t even pray to the same gods. Some Hindus believe Shiva is the supreme god, others think it is Vishnu, others pray to goddesses, etc.

As such, Hinduism is less of a singular religion and more of a collection of similar south Asian religions with a shared philosophy and mythology that were identified as all being “hinduism” by foreigners.
