This case should only happen when the parents refuse to aknowledge the sufferings of their kids and thus putting them in danger. That would not be your case, right ? Then there is no reason that you should be excluded from the conversation. Don't worry :)
I'm sure of that. And I would give my hand on the fact that if one of your kids were to tell you one day that they identify as the opposite gender, you would support them with all your might.

Yeah Anybody could make a mistake in naming someone, especially when tired, I literally done the same thing, I was talking to a couple of people and was talking about another person, I instead named one of the persons I was talking to instead of about. I Quickly realized my mistake, and even the person knew I meant the other.
