Yeah I'm willing to accept that, sure. I am a creationist tho so I still hold that they have a human soul that could not have been created via evolution. No contradiction with the science as far as I know, evolution just accounts for the creation of the human body

Well it is a question if humans are worth more than animals.
I would argue they are on account of several things, one of those things being a qualitative difference between humans and animals in that humans are abstractive beings, animals are merely perceptive beings, however if they both have the capacity for abstraction then they are qualitatively the same on a natural level and so I would have to move to other natural law/philosophical arguments (such as humans being moral agents, animals not), or theological reasons (humans being made in God's image etc.)
