Remember when I was saying that Marine LePen might get 5 years of ineligibility of any political position ?

Well, this was before the National Assembly agreed to elect Richard Ferrand at the Conseil Constitutionnel which was voted in with the votes of LePen's party. The RN (ex-FN) is accused of having made a deal with this Richard Ferrand so that they overrule the ineligibility directly at the Conseil Constitutionnel. For the record, even the party LesRépublicains (traditional right-wing party) was opposed to this election.

It seems like Macron wants the far-right to get elected for the second round so that his candidate (because he can't run a third time) tries to get all the votes possible AGAIN with the logic of "republican group" vs "tyranny/pétain/nazism".
