But the way I see it, is that there's been a culture which has allowed radical ideologies to fester and grow with very little resistance and consequences for their actions that now has reached critical mass.


Alternatively, if you wanna go the tinfoil route, it could be foreign forces hoping to stoke the flames of civil unrest to divide the people and weaken the nation.

Since the 80s, the greatest weapon politicians have weaponized to get people to the polls is outrage. They give simple answers to complicated problems to fester as much fear, hate, and outrage as possible. Combine that with the decrease in education and rising cost of living, you get pools of hyper radicalized individuals locked in hive minds, thinking everyone on the opposing side is their enemy.

Even now with the death of Charlie Kirk, Republicans are trying to blame democrats for the murder in order to get more outrage and support.
