yeah no, look over to portugal with their decriminalization of drugs, they arent telling people drugs are good, they are telling their people that they will help them get sober instead of locking them up if they decide to use drugs.
Anyways I don't think it really even matters for the sake of my argument

If something is legal, because people derive their morality to a large extent from the law, people will (and do) consider gay marriage as a good thing because the state endorses it by making it legal

No, it's logically sound. If something is legal it is protected by the state
weird, because some countries ban ads for cigarettes and/or alcohol, so they dont want them to be portrayed as good to the population, but the shits still legal....

like bro are you for real with this nonsense?

this take is too dumb to even give a response
The state will persecute you if you go against it, meaning in America it is not legal to deny marriage to same sex couples and the state will come after you. Obviously it being legal entails the state considering it as "good" in the sense that it is worth protecting

It doesn't really matter whether the state considers it as "good", the effect it has is that the people consider it good, certainly worth being protected by the law

and because homosexuality is a form of extreme perversion, this means the state legalizing it will lead to the people supporting a form of perversion as good when it is not

this sounds like its coming out of your ass. "denying marriage to same sex couples" would only ever apply to government officials then? it doesnt have anything to do with you. laws preventing you from discriminating people based on their sexual orientation are separate to the topic we are talking about.

it wouldn't apply to me, but the effect it has applies to the society at large because marriage is a a public and social action, it is not merely a private vow

if two homosexuals publically have a wedding and everyone in the crowd is sitting there clapping hands, that is an act of public support for it for example

Well I'm not some goofy ass Mormon so I don't know what that is. Lol
it's when someone has people basically control them and lift them into their partner's private parts to make them have sex without them actually doing it themselves
Little hard to explain honestly but the gist of it is that the people aren't actually moving on their own they just have people moving them into eachother to simulate sex

:Zenou_Stare:
I knew Mormons were freaks. This is just insane

Alright I doubt any Mormons actually do that tho.

Idk about the marriages you have seen, but all i have ever been to were private events with a set list of invited people, not open to the public.

And still no, it just means the crowd supports it. Since its invited people, they would support it even if you would manage to make it illegal as well.

:seriously:
your argument is that gay-marriage being legalized doesn't normalize gay-marriage

King of teeth-pulling during debates goes to you sir.
