Don't get lost in "what if." You should think about who you're actually talking about to make a coherent point. Who is discussing their pedophilia outside of treatment and adjudication in your example?

Can someone just tell you that they're a pedophile without any legal penalty or judgment? Of course. Is this enough for reasonable suspicion? Yes. So... who or what are you trying to argue here?

Another "if." There's no law against jerking off to any adult in privacy, consenting or not. You are not violating a law by possessing a picture of an adult whether or not it is explicit and regardless of their sex in and of itself. This is not the case for minors. I don't know why you seem to be so desperate to have a point, because you are clearly arguing against things you already know.

It's hard to see how you're going wrong with the concept of consent, which is not a static thing for adults. It is a static thing for minors. An adult can tell you they consent today and change their mind. They can say that they have never given consent and this is something to argue. A child cannot give consent period.
