Do you really believe it isn't sexist to believe men can't be sexually assaulted? Lol
Sexism is, again, part of patriarchy, which is a system of domination. Structure and perpetuated by men and women for men.
It's a bit complicated but overall, the principle is this : There are no system of domination over men, but there is a system of domination of men overwomen benefiting but ALSO destroying men.
> When you can't express your emotion as a man, it's an effect of patriarchy
> When you can't express that you are a victim of abuse, it's an effect of patriarchy
> When you are abused by women, it can be because of patriarchy (marginalized masculinities mostly) but it's mainly due to adultism
> If you constantly feel that you need to compete with other men, it's an effect of patriarchy
> If you feel uneasy in society in front of your own feelings and emotions, it's also an effect of patriarchy
Etc.
Patriarchy is a system of domination of men over women, BUT it also important to understand that it affects men as well. Many men here have been abused as a child and they will never talk about it, mainly because of patriarchy (and adultism ofc)
