I barely take part in discussions here anymore, because it's the same haterboi sheeps again and again doing the same haterboi shit.

I am enjoying it all for myself currently. There is no haterboi squad I need to pacify by sheeping haterboi opinions.

Compared to the opening of Marineford it is indeed very mid so far

What? Marineford was an arc, this is a flashback.

If anything I'd criticize it for losing focus on Elbaph

Strawhats rarely get fights, and when they do, often they're either mostly off panel or short. Do you really think that side characters in a flashback during an event with dozens of players, while we are at the climax of the present arc, will get proper fleshed out fights?. Clashes, especially amongst top tiers, are the easiest way for Oda to showcase power levels without needing to put a definitive stamp on whose stronger, which breeds discussion among the fans. The mystique of their power still gives them gravitas, Oda want's to keep that alive with the legends, while avoiding overexposure. Also, if Oda were to actually draw a full scale epic war/showdown between all these top tiers, then it'll be difficult for him to top it with the current events which don't involve as many powerful players, it'll dwarf Elbaf's climax or at least minimize it's impact. The only war that matters is the one involving the Strawhats.

Yeah I don't love everything about any given part of the series but this forum slides into straight bullshit and not even as a joke

This is typical oda tbf. He barely writes long fights. MF war , roger vs WBPs , akainu vs Kuzan etc showed how loda doesn't bother to draw long fights or at all and skip them. Bleach > OP in this regard.

So far I've preferred Kuma's flashback, the revs in Mary Geoise, current-day Hachinosu and the Harald/Elbaf portions of this flashback, over any of the rocks stuff

It started with WCI and since then flashbacks have been degrading continuously.

Rocks’ intro was on a whole different level. But everything has been straight downhill after that. Nobody wants to see Whitebeard cleaning up fodder, Rocks simping for Shakky, Roger acting like a clown.
