Current Events Gorosei can sense "danger level" of incoming attack

Enemy blocks an attack = enemy knows it may or may not hurt them.

Lol this isnt even remotely comparable, in that panel we are specificly told that that attack would hurt Kaido a lot.

No such thing happened in the Venusjuro clash, so yeah I do think its probably because Oda wanted to draw a cool sword clash.

It is comparable, as in both Gorosei and Kaido, Big Mom are always treated as punching bag. But against Zoro's attack, suddenly they don't want to be punching bag anymore.

Well yeah, it’s near enough the first thing Saturn said when he landed.

The Gorosei are happy to take hits that do nothing to them.

Could well be that Zoro’s AP is enough to worry a Gorosei enough to want to avoid the attack, could be Oda just wanted the Kitetsu’s clash, could be both.
