Character Discussion Hard Truth Why Oda Favors Zoro More Than Luffy and Sanji

But Oda literally shows one of the BIGGEST SCUMBAGS in the show Orochi, who is ALSO from Wano.... same country that represent Japan...
And he also made allies of TWO people who are considered "chinese" in design like Amazon Lily + Chinjao fleet and his country... Same china who had differences and rivalry with Japan...
The point I'm making.... We are talking about the SH crew... who are the MAIN CAST... so naturally, the author will try to make the main character who represent that country to look the coolest of them all... He's putting what good values they hold in him...
When it comes to the bad shit they do... he's ALREADY reflecting that with the "Orochi" and also the close borders and the narrowminded people who were against Luffy helping them out as they saw him "an outsider"... This literally was translated in the show... the same shit you speak about which is treating foreigners discriminately and differently, it was shown with Luffy himself in Udon..

One thing Oda needs to resolve is to actually address the issue Orochi faced when he was a kid.... those Wano people oppressed him just because of the sins of his grandfather... and because of his name, he gets despised.... and I find it SO STUPID from Yasui to be saying "why did you hide you are Korozumi from me" when it was revealed for them... When Yasui was still daimyo... I mean, are you fucking dumb? stupid?
forget about orochi's sins now... but as a kid, someone who was being hunted down just for his name... and you want him to tell you his real name? are you moron? or what!
One good seed in Oden's flashback was that Oden showed that he was concerned about what happened with Korozumi people when Orochi revealed it... and secondly, it was stated that Oden not only danced naked for saving the people, but also as an apology for the Korozumi...
What I am trying to say is that regardless if your theory is right or wrong about Korozumi are foreigners... Oda HAS TO address and solve that plot of hatered towards Korozumi... and he has to clear out the mistakes done by Wano citizens...
That's why I was HOPING that both Izo/Kiku to be revealed in future as Korozumi... because:
1- Their backstory as kids, matches Kanjuro a little...
2- When Kanjuro revealed he is Korozumi, Kiku had a focus panel about it
3- It's so stupid to end that plot with just kaido ending the bloodline of Korozumi
Oda has to get back full circle into addressing how filthy and scumbag the citizens of Wano treated Korozumi people... otherwise, I have no respect for this writer, where he just made an escapegoat in the form of Kaido cutting that bloodline, and just ignore it...

You're really comparing an author showing positive examples of his culture's tradition in a manga to criminal behavior among companies?
This is going to far.
I think Oda wants to show this "bushido" stuff in positive examples, or, the way that he personally prefers to view it.
Doesn't mean he leaves the negative aspects of Japanese tradition out.
Among these there is for example the isolationism of Wano, the extreme hivemind and bully tendencies of the population.
Also, for example, the Celestial Dragons being legally permitted to shoot any ordinary citizen that steps in their way is derived from the behavior of the samurai caste , who had the legal pernisson to cut down any citizen that dared to step in their way.

Yeah, honestly that's stupid on Oda's part.... Because this is NOT what Sanji would do considering WCI arc when he was against putting explosives in wedding cake for Big Mom....
It really shows how Oda for simple gags, he is ready to turn his writing into trash, all for the sake of gags...
Sanji's character from WCI would be to "create food for Zoro that will make Zoro his fanboy and follow his orders" just to eat more of his food... same principle as defeat Big Mom with power of Wedding Cake and how good it taste....

precisely my dude, and zoro seems to be enjoying sanji's cooking like the instance in Skypia and in PH, and besides this seems pretty contradictory, since if u hate zoro that much why would you bother blighting your food over him anyway?

Orochi's character became useless since Oden flashback, before that Orochi was the main bad guy who took down Kozouki family and killed Oden, but after Oden's flashback the entire narrative changed completely. We found out that the real proprietors of the Kozouki conspiracy were the old hag and her husband.
Now, what did Orochi do to end up where he is? The answer is nothing. Orochi is a hollow antagonist just like Luffy is a hollow protagonist. The real antagonist of Wano *the Old hag* is dead, she had been killed by Kaido. If she was alive we could have had a great plot with Hyori trying to avenge her family by killing the old hag. Momonoske on the other hand, could have had his own character moment against the old hag's husband while Kinemon would be Orochi's opponent. But the old hag and her husband are log dead and Orochi has done nothing to be the antagonist, I mean don't get me wrong, Orochi is still a scumbag for killing Oden and Yasuie but the real antagonist was the old hag, whiteout her Orochi would be nothing.
The same problem Is with Luffy right now... Luffy has become a hollow protagonist who has done nothing to be where he is right now. And before people remind me about Luffy saying "I can't do everything by myself" I wanna say that I remember that moment, and that's the reason why I fell in love with one piece. If Luffy was *all by himself and overpowered* then I'd never watch one piece in first place.
The problem is that Luffy doesn't do anything, like literally anything by himself. The individualism from Luffy's character has been completely thrown away, Zoro and Sanji (mainly Zoro lol) have been protecting Luffy every time when he does something stupid but I can't remember Luffy doing the same for them. Luffy gets away with irresponsibility way too often because his crew has been cleaning the mess that Luffy creates all the time. The reason why Kid is so much more charismatic then Luffy is because Kid has been taking the responsibility of his actions unlike Luffy.
Now, what did Luffy get for his actions? Nothing, absolutely nothing. And for what reason Oda expects me to be invested in the strowhats? For the fact that they always get away with everything!? It's not funny, it's not interesting at all. Where are the stakes for God's sake? Now we have Luffy who teamed up with supernovas against Kaido and Meme, which also again throws away Luffy's individualism away.
She came up with the plan, gave Orochi his DF ability (which has to play some role in the future) and helped Kaido to win the battle against Oden. Her husband was the shield that was protecting him from Oden through his DF ability and Kaido has been protecting Orochi's ass for 20 years.
Now, what did Orochi do to end up where he is? The answer is nothing. Orochi is a hollow antagonist just like Luffy is a hollow protagonist. Kid received a huge scar, lost an arm while fighting against Shanks, got ambushed by Kaido cuz he trusted Apoo, his crew member was tortured and turned into a brainless assassin by Kaido/Orochi.
Now, what did Luffy get for his actions? Nothing, absolutely nothing. And for what reason Oda expects me to be invested in the strowhats? For the fact that they always get away with everything!? It's not funny, it's not interesting at all. Where are the stakes for God's sake? Now we have Luffy who teamed up with supernovas against Kaido and Meme, which also again throws away Luffy's individualism away.

Those introduction pages in the chapters made it clear, Zoro = fighter, Sanji = cook, Chopper = doctor, etc. So since Zoro only role is being a fighter, Oda needs to make him look more like that with more screentime in this field.
Still, the situation with Black Maria was god tier shit writing regarding that sequence of Sanji being able to free his feet, then free his arms and then again trapped entirely for no reason (he could avoid being trapped earlier without his feet and hands, but when he was free again he was trapped, WTF?) without being able to run from the room which seemed to be made of adamantium...

So this thread is basically the OP admitting that he was wrong about Zoro’s level of strength but rather than put that on his bad reading comprehension, he is putting it on « Oda’s favoritism »
