BS... in Wano dispite the fact that Luffy has FS he didn't even notice the arrow but Zoro stopped it with the tip of his blade; in the fight against Apoo Luffy lost his concessnes while Zoro tanked the hit; Luffy needed an entire training to awaken advanced haki while Zoro got just handed it him through Enma; in the fight against Kaido Luffy's punches did almost no damage to Kaido while the first attack that Kaido ever avoided in the series was from Zoro; Luffy still can't get rid off his gear 4th time limit till this day but Zoro is somehow using a blade that drains his haki; Zoro has gotten way more fights in Wano than Luffy, as matter of fact Luffy hasn't had a single fight in Wano so far.

So please stop, it's not that Oda loves Luffy that much, it's just that Oda hates Sanji and tries to do everything to humiliat him non-stop. Oda's favorite strowhats are:

1. The number one favorite Roronoa Zoro
2. The number two favorite Monkey D Luffy
3. The number three favorite Nami.

Oda favored Luffy in WCI just because he just hates Sanji and Zoro was not there in WCI. In wano Sanji had few moments like saving Momo, saving Nami, shinobu etc, while Luffy had it worst. Of all the 100 chapters of wano, Luffy presence was felt in only two chapters, and Zoro got moments even more than his fans expected. So yeah, while this thread maynot be true for pre WCI arcs but right now, this is what it is.

Luffy was literally a background character in 100 chapter wano arc. Only in chapter 949 and chapter 1000, he has his presence. Rest of the wano is about scabbards, oden, orochi, Zoro, momo, Yamato etc. Poor Kaidou he got worst treatment because of Oden.

I think there's a common leap in logic here.

This is not necessarily favoritism or else you would be accusing our beloved author of character bias, I would not go that far.

It's probably just that Zoro is most likely thought to reach a certain imposing level of greatness since the start.

No, Oda's favourite is Luffy.
Also, he doesn't hate Sanji. He even declared a "Year of Sanji".
Oda just decided to focus on different aspects of Sanji's character then giving him a fight.

But again; Luffy has an excuse to that because he has the special ability to gain allies and friends in a short time, and he is a very special leader. Zoro has none of this abilities. He needs to be cool.

So you Luffy and Sanji fans need to understand this fact, then you also have to understand why Oda gives a pass to Zoro most of the time and why he doesn't shit on Zoro too much and why he try to make Zoro look cool more than Luffy and Sanji most of the time.

As for Sanji yes he is definitely dumb when it comes to women but except for that you need to admit that he is the smartest M3 member; look at Enies Lobby arc ending and how he make Enel cry at Skypiea arc.

In addition to Sanji's intelligence, he is also an excellent cook, that every rich people in the world would probably want him to prepare their food for them.

So the reason why Oda shits on Luffy and Sanji is because he gave extra special abilities to these two while Zoro has none of it. He is just the fighter of SH pirates he didn't even made him ''officially'' vice captain like Rayleigh. So when you consider this, this is actually a fair trade.

Zoro = no special abilities, just fighter thus it shouldn't be lowballed
Luffy = captain, effective leader, special ability like gaining allies, even turning his enemies into allies
Sanji = intelligent, and an excellent cook

Why he favors Zoro? It's simple, Zoro represent the Samurai warriors... aka.. Japanese people... of course he'll pay more respect to his presence and not humiliate him like other characters... Japanese people are proud folks, when they create a character who might represent them, they love to entrust their bushido and way of life into that character... so basically, they try to make him have their greatest attributes...

And there is nothing wrong with that actually... he has every right, it's his manga, his series, and no one can force him to change his way about his characters...

Just because Oda is giving more shine to the Samurai in the arc of the Samurais doesn't mean that he hates the other characters. You call him Zoro boi just because he gets more spotlight in the Samurai arc yet you didnt' say shit when he wasn't in WCI but Sanji was there getting a lot of spotlight. Hypocrisy at it's finest.

Are you sure Sanji was given spotlight? I think he has given him bad light. First he beat his own captain and betrayed him. Second, he didn't get any payoff from the Germa given how they treated him. Third, no one knows that he is the one who made cake and saved WCI. Fourth, he had to get saved by own hated family when Oda could have given Mr. Prince moment. Finally, he didn't even have a single fight. Nail in the coffin, he had to use germa suit later in wano arc which further dented his character in WCI.

just accept it Oda loves Zoro more than anyone else. It is not wrong, it is his manga and given Oda is Japanese and Zoro is Japanese, it is not surprising.

Did you really think oda was gonna make a samurai themed arc that's basically Japan and not give zoro a huge role in it ? If you did then its your own fault for being dumb when it's been set up for him since thriller bark.
