Wouldn't Voldemort scan innocent?

...Would he? We're all assuming he's a Godfather, but this game's roles aren't that simple.

My personal theory at the moment is that Voldemort isn't actually a role, he's just a shared factional ability that gets weaker based on horcruxes destroyed. That way he can't die/be targeted, but breaking Horcruxes still has a tangible benefit for town, and given Voldemort didn't do much direct combat in the books and used his minions to conduct operations, I think it works thematically.
