Character Discussion Has Oda improved his character design skills

Yeah but Oda did him dirty in Wano, but great character ofc
They are not necessarily bad but Oda was pretty inconsistent post-TS
Samurai and Beast pirates were not that great, while Kaido and King was top tier
Katakuri is great too, but the rest of the BM pirates? Only Perospero and Amande come to my mind, maybe 2-3 others
Elbaf is pretty consistent I would say. There is just no one that looks bad so far.

There is a good way to check:
- Put every characters in a png + alpha mask
- Make them all black (the color black) like that:
- Check how many characters there are in each arcs and place all characters on the timeline on the moment of their first appearance (try to find a way to compensate the growing number of character to be fair and have something homegenous)
- Ask for multiple casual fan who are caught up (or not depending on where they are in the story) to tell you which character is which.
- When a majority call the right character, keep the character on the timeline, if they don't, remove the character.
- Look how many characters are left on the time line and make a quick compensation on the number
and voila.
You will know - approximately - if Oda improved or not his character design.
