General & Others Has Oda treated the Strawhats well?

Looking back at:
Their chemistry pre ts and now
Their importance back then and currently

I feel like the bond between them is nonexistent or forced nowadays, the fact they spent 2 years with other dudes than their crewmates, make it iffy ,
also if they become PK crew in just months then It still be way off, how can you only spend months
together in 3 years of existent as crew !!!

How can the main fighters only get to fight extreme and important battles once every 5/10 years or every 3/4 arcs : Alabasta>Ennies Lobby>.... since then they have gotten one big fight!!!
Because they don't get to fight strong opponents every arc... their growth doesn't feel believable that they can even be top tiers.
Post TS : Zoro and Sanji had no real fight in all arcs, we have to wait for Wano to hope for extreme battle and see them go all out.... we get it it is Luffy show but hey, he needs powerful fighters too.

How can a crewmate become a background character : Robin...

Why do they keep being their weak selves? Cowards etc... : Ussop... still reckless : Luffy...
Chopper is a mere mascot now...

What do you guys feel about it? Is it too much for Oda to handle Strawhats nowadays in an arc filled with powerful dudes/allies?

If i look at the main cast from other Big 3 manga and others, their main cast have known each other for years, even after separations, the main cast share the spotlight sometimes...

For me There was a real bond and chemistry pre ts, the crew was enjoyable...

Pre-Marineford = building up the main squad and the core.

Post-MF = building up the world around them.


Manga is simply in a phase where the strawhats dont need to be focused like they used to be.

-Luffy has been pushed to limits
-Nami has been pushed to limits
-Franky maybe?
-brook has been pushed to limits
-Sanji has been pushed to limits
- Usopp has been pushed to limits
- Chopper (hmm dont really know what combat feats hes had other than wano lol)
- Robin, near maybe?

Zoro is really the only one who wasnt pushed to his limits.. but despite that Oda found a way to make him push his limits by giving him Enma.



So even if the strawhats havent gotten their 1v1s, it doesnt really matter since they've nearly all been pushed to their limits. Which is what matters in their growth in combat.

Zoro and Sanji have gotten so little fights that they didn’t even get to go all out before getting power ups

Jinbe is alright

Franky got one semi-joke fight. At least we got to see all of Shogun Franky’s abilities.

Brook is alright

Robin... lol

Nami got plenty of focus in WCI

Usopp got plenty of focus in Dressrosa

Chopper is just a mascot now. Even Monster Point looks like garbage now.

What’s really embarrassing is that half of the crew doesn’t even have Haki yet this far into the NW. Meanwhile fodders like Boo can use Hardening

I miss the pre-TS days. They were more character and adventure focused while post-TS is more about trying to tie up all the plot threads and finish the story.

^ Bullshit. The OP is right. The way Oda treats some of the Straw Hats post TS (Robin from assassin interested in world history into background NPC that can translate Poneglyph, Chopper from dependable small ally into scaredy mascot, Nami the cunning Cat Burglar into scaredy cat, Sanji the Mr. Hunter and Mr. Prince into Mr. Kidnapped and Mrs. Princess in Distress) are indeed shitty, as shitty as Guts' post in powerscaling.

One of the main reasons is that the crew is too weak
And they are small

How can you only give luffy 9 cremated with no other crewmates/members in the ship?

This is why Oda goes to make big plot armour/conveniences for strawhats need allies and luck to always survive

If Luffy crew was like Shanks/roger... that will be realistic and cool
But nah 9 dudes sailing in NW with no fodders and they survive with allies or luck... people say that is cool?

Also he made more than half of strawhats below the allies

That is subjective.

He made that because a yonko is too much for only SHP to handle!
