Mihawk isn't as respected as the Yonko or even the Admirals and it really shows
admirals hyped mihawk at marineford. Hes a rival to shanks and was even respected by Wb.

Mihawk might be able to cut almost everything and that's why he is considered to be the WSS
lol wss is not that easy. If it was that easy any brute can become wss. mihawk ain’t no meathead.

Even if he doesn’t have the supposed feats you’ve listed (and it’s not like that’s steadfastly true since we still haven’t seen him for more than a few panels every six arcs or so), the author himself has directly called him the World’s Strongest Swordsman for many years and set him up as the final boss for the quasi-main protagonist since the very beginning, so...

/thread?
Looks like the prompt is whether or not WSS is poorly defined based on those feats, not debating that Oda has given him that title.

I guess you can say /thread anyway because there's no argument to it being well defined.

Fair, but my answer remains the same to either question. WSS means that regardless of the feats he or others have demonstrated, he is accepted by the OP world as the best sword slinger around. That’s kinda the long and short of it.

Yes he was hyped, but it's not on the level of the Yonko.

You'll have to ask yourself, how did he manage to become the WSS?? Whom did he beat to acquire that title? It's definitely easier to become WSS than to become a Yonko.

Almost all the most powerful fighters use swordsmanship in some shape or form and then the person that is considered a national treasure in Wano is the only known person to have a black blade forged of haki and is hailed as the sword god and the only other known wielder of the 12 supreme blades just so happened to be WB. Mihawk's strength is indirectly hyped by most of these instances. His title means at the very least he is on par with the strongest swordsman but would eventually come out on top.

I doubt people will be questioning the legitimacy of his title if it was awarded to Shanks.

"the author"
Yes the author also wrote Mihawk poorly, his presence doesn't strike respect and fear as Yonko and Admirals do in front of people.

All I see "Oda says he's WSS so he's WSS" nobody denies that
The question remains with the infos as have so far, has WSS been treated good and legit by Oda?

Why does no strong swordman seek that title, why doesn't Mihawk face strong swordsmen and win or dominate
How does someone be WSS and not ever be in Wano (based on current infos he hasn't been there!)
How is he WSS when people debate who's WSS ans how did he achieve it when he didn't beat his rival even, he didn't do anything amazing in the story in the past or now as swordman.

Nobody gives a damn about if Mihawk is WSS or not.

Y'all still not giving any legit argument if WSS title and dream has been treated legit and good by Oda so far

why isn’t shanks or big mom wss since they both carry a sword?
Again. Just because someone carries a sword doesn't mean he or she is weaker than Mihawk. This argument is illogical. Big Mom doesn't only just fight with Napoleon, she also uses her fists and mostly her DF. She fights with her homies, and Shanks? We don't know yet. But I'm sure his haki might just be the absolute strongest in the series. Both would beat Mihawk in a 1v1.

Just because you allegedly are the strongest alive being in the verse it doesn't mean that you have to move and do all this stuff Ndule

Mihawk has the power to stand back and act the way he wishes to

He is like a Lord Beerus, does what he wants to when he wants to
