Its like Zoro's job is literally just swinging swords here and there, and it cant go beyond that

Was Zoro ever put through heavily mental struggles like Luffy and Sanji did?

His whole career in this arc was centered on Enma's existence, the only thing we got is something we already know from him very well: He wants to be the strongest swordsman

Oda doesn't even let him kill Orochi and save Hyiori, as he said he would do


Lets see where the Grim Reaper thing leads atleast

In my Wano reread I’m up to Big Mom crashing Udon and Zoro has been the star of the show.

(For anyone wondering how a reread effects Wano, Act One is excellent, Act Two is a mess up until Zoro vs Kamazo as Oda keeps darting back and forth between scenes without letting anything breath).

The Shimotsuki thing bugs me because I’d rather Oda just make his mind up whether he’s going to include it in the manga or not but otherwise, it’s been grand for Zoro.

The thing is, whether or not Oda actually delivers on Zoro going into the end of this arc pretty much makes it or breaks it

I think he did him kinda dirty but it was a necessary evil to portray a fancy enough and intense rooftop battle on top of what's coming next. So a lore and stylistic choice

I mean compared to Sanji in WCI, it doesn't really feel like we learned anything new about Zoro

I wasn’t expecting much to begin with, but still felt peeved about how plotlines that were set up for him just got abandoned, like gathering the samurai.

Besides that, he was treated much better than most of the other Strawhats as usual.

Character wise he didn't treated Zoro well.

Power wise could have been better. Not even talking about ZKK but Oda always nerfs Zoro in his fights. Magic pill was stupid. Just doesn't make Enma a nerf and he fought King while being severely injured.

Time to drop OP for zoro fan. He was treated poorly close to Kaido. Too many unresolved plotlines and I dont have any faith in Oda to fix them

In terms of special character and focus of the arc Zoro, nah....got done dirty.

Zoro always gets the second best treatment from Oda, whether it's Wano or any-other-arc, the only thing that is different, is that people wanted Zoro to replace Luffy as the MC in Wano. Which obviously is too much...

Atleast he beat Kaidos most trusted and powerful subordinate
